IFRS9 and Accounting Subledger Implementation

Role: Sub-project manager for the technical integration of the capital markets front-office and legal systems to implement IFRS9 regulatory requirements and introduce a new bank-wide accounting subledger


  • Sub-project manager within the bank’s major project to overhaul their accounting and financial reporting mechanism, leveraging a wide variety of technologies, systems and diverse teams to meet the ambitious timeline of the project.
  • Responsible for the implementation across all the bank’s capital markets front-office and legal systems, including Murex, Front Arena, SimCorp Dimension, and a variety of in-house systems (based on Cobol, Adabas/Natural, Informatica PowerCenter ETL, DB2, JCL).
  • Product coverage encompasses interest-rate derivatives, credit derivatives, structured OTC and exchange-traded derivatives, repo/lending, foreign exchange and money market asset classes.
  • Full budgetary and planning responsibility, to coordinate the technical design, development, integration and testing activities in the capital market systems based on functional requirements provided by back-office business and downstream units.

The first major production milestone was successfully met in time and within budget on the 31.12.2014.
